One of Our Best-Kept Secrets

James Douglas Flowers' family farm has been selling chemical free vegetables for the past 20 years.

Behind the quaint green house at 236 Camp Creek Road lies one of Lilburn's best-kept secrets. The only clue that it's there are three inauspicious white signs saying fresh vegetables by the mailboxes lines againt the road.

James Douglas Flowers' family farm has held onto the five-acre plot that the house sits on for the past 100 years. For the past 20 of those years the small farmstand has been selling chemical-free vegetables and eggs to passersby who are clever enough to spot the signs.

The organic practicing farm usually has a variety of 50 or so different vegetables growing at any point in the year. It also has close to 150 chickens that lay eggs each day and ducks as well.
