Patch Editors Volunteer at Lilburn Co-Op

Joy Woodson and Sarah Bakhtiari organized food, stocked the pantry and more as part of Patch's Give 5 initiative.

Patch editors Joy Woodson and Sarah Bakhtiari volunteered at the Lilburn Cooperative Ministry on Thursday (July 25) as part of Patch's Give 5 program.

Give 5 is a company-wide initiative where Patch employees volunteer their work day at a notable place in the community. We chose the Lilburn Co-op because we knew how much it helps the area's families in need, whether it's through financial aid, food donations or Lilly's Cloak, its thrift store.

At the co-op, we cleaned out purses, placed items in the showroom of the thrift store, organized food, and stocked the pantry for families to pick up food on Friday.

It was a great experience, and we're glad we were able to help the Lilburn community on a local level.
