Update on I-85 Lane Closures This Week

Continued work to convert HOV lanes to HOT lanes will bring closures Monday through Thursday.

Weather permitting, more express lane closures are coming to I-85 as HOV lanes are changed over to HOT lanes.

This week, northbound HOV or inside lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. and southbound HOV or inside lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. in the following locations:

-Monday, April 4: From Indian Trail Road to Steve Reynolds Boulevard

-Tuesday, April 5: From Indian Trail Road to Steve Reynolds Boulevard

-Wednesday, April 6: From Pleasant Hill Road to S.R. 316

-Thursday, April 7: From Old Peachtree Road to Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road

Daytime work will also be done next week, partially in Gwinnett County. Northbound HOV or inside lanes will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and southbound HOV or inside lanes will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the following locations:

-Monday, April 4: From Chamblee-Tucker Road to I-285 and from Sugarloaf Parkway to Old Peachtree Road.

-Tuesday, April 5: From Sugarloaf Parkway to Old Peachtree Road

-Wednesday, April 6: From Northcrest Road to one mile north of Pleasantdale Road.

When completed, registered transit buses, motorcycles, alternative fueled vehicles and vehicles with three or more passengers will be allowed to use the inside HOT lane for free, while single- and double-occupant vehicles will be allowed to use the lane if they pay a toll.
