Viewfinder: Kids and Fire Trucks Equals Learning Experience

Photos for Sunday's open house at the Gwinnett Fire Station on Five Forks-Trickum Road.

Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services celebrated its 40th anniversary with open houses of its first stations Sunday all across the county.

As you may imagine, it was a hit with kids who got to meet firefighters, sit inside a fire truck, tour the fire station and try on helmets and uniforms. Firefighters talked to the kids about fire safety and what life is like being a firefighter.
