Viewfinder: Kids Learn Skills at Soccer Camp

Close to 400 children between the ages of six and 15 learn soccer skills at the four-day long Killian Hill Baptist Church Soccer Camp in Lilburn.

Around 375 children are registered to attend the four-day long Killian Hill Baptist Church Soccer Camp in Lilburn, which began Tuesday. The fifth annual camp is headed up by Mark Bates and his son Andrew, both of whom have extensive soccer experience.

"The camp gives the children a chance to learn new skills and progress in the sport of soccer," said Andrew Bates.

Bates and his father travel across the country during the summer teaching camps in Wisconsin, Virginia, Georgia just to name a few states.

"I love working with kids and having an impact on their lives," Andrew said.

The four-day long camp is free for the community through the sponsorship of the church, although registration is closed for this session.
