What's Going on in Lilburn This Week

From local food events to the city's town hall meeting, here are five things to look forward to starting Monday, July 22.

Wondering what's going on in Lilburn this week? Check out the list below.

1. Gwinnett Restaurant Week at Three Blind Mice: The Lilburn restaurant is participating for the first time in Gwinnett Restaurant Week, which starts Monday (July 22) and runs through Thursday (July 25). TBM is closed Mondays, so be sure to grab the $21.21 three-course-meal deal starting Tuesday. (Reservations will be accepted.) Check out the full menu here, which includes TBM's roasted tomato soup, rigatoni pasta and sticky toffee pudding.

2. Town Hall Meeting: Mayor Johnny Crist is hosting a town hall meeting this Monday, July 22, starting at 8 p.m. in Lilburn City Hall, located at 76 Main St. The mayor hosts the meeting on the fourth Monday of every month to maintain an open dialogue with Lilburn city residents.

3. Child Car Seat Check: Every Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., A trained officer with the Lilburn Police Department is available to give free child car seat safety checks. Swing by the department at 76 Main Street for the service. Not able to make it? Appointments can be made for another day by calling Lt. Chris Dusik at 770-638-2185.

4. The Lilburn Farmers Market: The farmers market just hit its halfway mark for the season (the last day is Aug. 30), so locals better stock up on produce and whatnot before it's too late. From kids activities to cooking demos, there's always something going on at the market every Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. across from Lilburn City Park. Be sure to check out Lilburn Patch's Announcements Board on Thursday evening for specific event details for July 26.

5. 1910 Public House Getting Ready: Lilburn's newest Old Town restaurant is getting prepped for its upcoming opening in early August. If you happen to swing by the Main Street location and see workers busy with renovations, be sure to snap a photo and share it on Patch.
