While You Were Sleeping, It Snowed Again in Lilburn

Strange, just a week ago Gen. Beau Lee, the resident groundhog at the Yellow River Game Ranch, called for an early spring on Groundhog Day.

What was he thinking?

Winter weather came back to Lilburn early Thursday morning, with big snowflakes that began lightly falling after midnight.

When it was over, residents woke up to about an inch of the white stuff.  It's the third measurable snowfall we've received this winter.

But, unlike the storm that closed schools for a week last month, this snow had little effect on everyday lives. Schools were open and, unfortunately for area students, most of the snow was expected to be melted away by the time the kids returned home.
