What You Need to Know About Election Day in Lilburn

There are no city elections, but still important county elections, including SPLOST.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5. Here are some key things you need to know before heading to the polls:

Are there elections in the City of Lilburn this year?
No. Incumbent council members Tim Dunn and Eddie Price do not have any opponents, so the City of Lilburn will not hold elections. Residents in the incorporated area do not need to go to City Hall to cast their vote. They should go to their polling place as designated by Gwinnett County.

What's on the ballot this year?
Voters in Gwinnett County will vote on a 1% SPLOST

Parts of Lilburn will also vote in a special election for State Representative in the 100th district. This seat was left vacant when Brian Thomas resigned to take a job in Maine in June. Former Atlanta Falcon Dewey McClain was the only candidate to qualify for the race and is running unopposed.

Where do I go to vote?
Gwinnett County residents can find their polling place by visiting the state's "My Voter Page." There are no elections in the City of Lilburn, so voters only need to go to their county designated polling location.

What time are the polls open?
Polling places throughout Gwinnett County are open from 7am until 7pm.

How can I see a sample ballot?
Visit the "My Voter Page" to see your ballot before heading to the polls.
