Help Needed as 20-Year-Old Recovers from Severe Stroke

He receives physical, occupational and speech therapies as part of his recovery.

Each Thursday in December, Patch is highlighting a local GoFundMe campaign in the area.

Today's focus is on a campaign to raise money for a 20-year-old Dacula man who is recovering from a severe stroke.

From the GoFundMe page created for him, by his sister Ana Coddington:

"Thank you for your support in my little brothers recovery. At 20 years old, my brother suffered a severe stroke that affected the left and right sides of his brain including the brain stem. the stroke left him incapable of using his body and in a devastated state. he has been receiving physical, occupational, and speech therapies and continues to improve everyday. unfortunately, insurance only allows him to have 30 therapies in one year...and this won't be enough to help him get his life back. his 21st birthday is in march and our family hopes we will be able to raise enough funds to pay for more therapies after he uses the ones insurance cover. we truly appreciate your help from the bottom of our hearts."

Unlike other crowdfunding websites like Kickstarter, GoFundMe focuses more on helping people fund community or very personal goals. GoFundMe is a Patch partner.
