Kate Needs a Loving Home

This Corgi is up for adoption.

Princess Kate, a one-year-old Corgi mix, was rescued from our local shelter a few days after delivering five puppies. This pretty girl had been living in a backyard with 13 other dogs, and for some reason, her owner moved away and abandoned all of his dogs. Kate clearly had been neglected before she came to us. She was extremely frightened when she first arrived at her foster home. Kate did a great job raising her pups, and during that time she began to understand that people are not all bad.

Due to the environment she grew up in (lacking in attention and human interaction), Kate is still fairly shy and timid. She is beginning to come out of her shell, but she is still a work in progress. Kate strongly prefers women, and would be happiest in a female-only household. She might learn to love a man, but it would take a lot of time and patience to win her over. Yummy treats could help with that process. ;-) Kate is very good with other animals (cats and dogs) and she now walks very nicely on a leash. She is crate-trained and well on her way to being housebroken. What Kate needs is a loving home with people who will be very gentle and patient with her as she continues to blossom into the happy, healthy dog she was meant to be.

Kate is fully vetted -- spayed/neutered, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and deworming. The adoption fee is $150 (cash only, please).
