Lilburn to Light Tree Saturday

Winners of the city's coloring contest will also be announced.

The City of Lilburn welcomes the holiday season with the lighting of the tree in front of City Hall on Saturday. The event runs from 5pm until 8pm and features entertainment for the whole family.

After the lighting, children can listen to holiday stories read by the likes of Mrs. Claus and Lilburn Mayor Johnny Crist. The Gwinnett Braves mascot Chopper will also be there to greet families. Winners of the city's coloring contest will also be announced.

The city will also collect canned food for the Lilburn Co-op. You can find a list of acceptable items on the co-op's website.
