Serving Children of Domestic Violence

As your children out-grow their clothes, there is something you can do with those gently used clothes to help a child in need.

Children caught in the crossfire of domestic violence situations must often abandon their homes and their belongings with very minimal provisions. Without having the luxury of packing their clothes, this creates a very urgent need for children who may have to go from having a closet full of clothes on one day, to having only the clothes on their backs the next.

In effort to meet the needs of the children of domestic violence, the GFWC Lilburn Woman's Club is working with the Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) to stock the Children's Boutique at the Gwinnett Safe House. As families arrive at the Gwinnett Safe House, the goal is to provide each child with the clothing they need.

The Lilburn Woman's Club is asking the community to help by donating clothing in good condition. Boys and girls clothing from infant to teen sizes can be dropped off at House of Payne, 4565 Lawrenceville Highway, Lilburn, GA. Rachel Payne is a member of the Lilburn Woman's Club and will gladly receive donations for the PADV Children's Boutique.
