Community Corner

Re-zoning at Killian Hill and Arcado Road.

This re-zoning is not a good thing for our neighborhood. It has been carefully proposed by the Planning commission during a spate of construction at the site with hidden signs and minimal notice. Last night a group of citizens tried to have the issue tabled so we would have more time to respond before the council meeting. They denied it of course.

Issues.

1. Traffic increase in neighborhood and into four two lane roads, without turning lanes, leading into intersection and Trickum Middle School.
2. Impossible access into and out of new proposed subdivision.
3. Removal of trees and adverse environmental damage.
4. Will create dramatic cut through scenario along Louis Road into Hanarry Estates.
5.Our neighborhood does not need or want this type of development. The city wants the increased revenue and is trying for the third time, to ruin our neighborhood and the environment.
6. Increased population into already overcrowded schools.

Everybody affected by this proposal needs to attend the Lilburn City Council meeting on July 14 and oppose this development.
Wear orange tee-shirts.
