Apply Now for Lilburn Citizens Police Academy

The Academy begins on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 and will be held every Tuesday for 10 weeks.

The Lilburn Police Department is accepting applications for its 10-week Citizens Police Academy and Chief Bruce Hedley invites applicants from a diverse group of people who either live or work in the City of Lilburn to apply.

This program is designed to provide members of the Lilburn community with additional knowledge about their police department. It allows citizens to learn about police procedures and to experience first-hand the pressures associated with law enforcement.

“The objective of the Citizen Police Academy is not to train an individual to be a Reserve Police Officer, but to produce informed citizens," Chief Hedley said in a news release.
