In 2010 my best friend was also hit by a car and killed, he also attended berkmar high school. The police never found his killer. A month later, I was struck by a car and nearly died. The police officer gave me the ticket for "illegally crossing the street." I was on a cross walk. I still have to see doctors and lawyers but thank God I am alive. Don't blame America. Don't blame the police, they did what they could. I do not agree with officer Haney by giving me the ticket, life isnt fair. I myself am going to be a police officer for a few years, how ironic right?
