Body Found in Burned-Out Car

Gwinnett Police and Fire are investigating incident from Monday morning at Lucky Shoals Park.

Gwinnett police and firefighters are investigating the circumstances behind a dead body that was found Monday morning inside a burned-out vehicle at Lucky Shoals Park in unincorporated Tucker.

A police officer patrolling the area found the still-smoldering car at 5:05 a.m. The fire department was called and after arriving firefighters found the body.

“The vehicle and victim are badly burned, making it difficult to readily identify both,” Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Edwin Ritter said in a media release.

The incident is being investigated by both the Gwinnett Police Homicide Unit and the Gwinnett Fire Arson Investigation Unit.
