In 2010, the family held a memorial service in honor of Roark. According to his family, he suffered from depression and post traumatic stress syndrome.

Although he struggled with the effects of war, his family believed that his life was going in a better direction shortly before he disappeared. According to the Walton Tribune, they did not think he would voluntarily disappear.

He was a manager at Snellville's Texas Roadhouse and had just been promoted.

He was last seen leaving a Snellville hotel on Nov. 9. His car, a 2000 black Honda Accord, was located in Morgan County off of Highway 20 shortly after he disappeared.

According to WSAV, the sheriff's department still does not know who is responsible for his disappearance. If anyone has any information, contact the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department.
