Father of Slain Children Now Charged With Their Murders

Gwinnett County Police have charged 23-year-old Elvis Noe Garcia with the murders of his two young children, Bradley Garcia, 3, and Edward Garcia, 1.

Gwinnett County Police have charged 23-year-old Elvis Noe-Garcia with the murders of his two young children, Bradley Garcia, 3, and Edward Garcia, 1. Garcia has also been charged with assaulting his other child, a 3-year-old boy who remains hospitalized.

Base on the initial investigation, , with two counts of murder. Those charges have been dropped, but Cardenas-Rico remains in custody on drug charges (marijuana possession, with intent to distribute), police said.

Police say discrepancies in Noe-Garcia's statement and Cardenas-Rico's alibi led them to believe the father was the assailant.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 9, police responded to a . Officers located Noe-Garcia outside the home suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.

Bradley and Edward Garcia were found dead in the basement of the home. Both boys had been stabbed. Noe-Garcia’s other son was life-flighted to a children’s hospital in Atlanta.

Noe-Garcia is currently being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond. He has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault, officials said. An immigration hold is also in place.
