Fire Causes Heavy Damage to Vacant Duplex

The fire was reported in the Tucker area of unincorporated Gwinnett County.

A vacant duplex in the Tucker area of unincorporated Gwinnett County received moderate to heavy damage due to a fire early Saturday morning.

Gwinnett Fire spokesman Charles Wells said there were indications that the duplex located at 1156 Osceola Court was being renovated. No injuries were reported.

The blaze may have originated on the first floor, according to Wells. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters arrived at the fire at 12:51 a.m. Saturday. It was brought under control about an hour later.
