Fire Damages Lilburn Credit Union

The drive-thru of the Platinum Federal Credit Union suffered heavy damage.

Fire broke out at a Lilburn credit union Sunday evening.

Firefighters were called to the Platinum Federal Credit Union at 4794 Lawrenceville Highway in Lilburn just after 6pm Sunday. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke billowing from the roof of the drive-thru.

Crews were able to stop the fire before it could spread to the main building.

Investigators determined the fire was caused by a faulty electrical lighting fixture in the ceiling.

No one was injured.
