Five Car Break-Ins Reported Same Night, Same Area
Inside the Police Reports: Five automobile thefts were reported overnight in the same Highway 78 neighborhood.
Five car break-ins took place overnight on July 25 at residents' homes near the Rivercliff Subdivision on Stone Mountain Highway. Most of them were on Hudson Drive.
In the biggest theft, $1,155 worth of possessions was stolen. The victim, a 26-year-old female, told Gwinnett police that someone stole her $450 Chanel purse, $575 Louis Vuitton wallet and $130 Guess watch by breaking her GMC Jimmy's rear window. The window has a value of $150. Her driver's license, social security number and credit card were also stolen.
The victim told police that the crime probably occurred from 3:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26.

A couple reported to police in another break-in report that a $15 LED flashlight, a $350 Colt .38 Special and keys were stolen out of their 2005 Lincoln Towncar and 2006 GMC Sierra. According to the police report, the break-in took place from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
In another incident, taking place from 7 p.m. to noon the next day, the victim said her $10 purse, driver's license, credit card and $30 in cash were stolen from her 2002 Infiniti I35.

In the last two incidents, the victims said there wasn't anything relevant stolen from their vehicles.
In one, the 71-year-old victim said only a $10 flashlight was stolen from his 2008 Chevy Silverado from 8 p.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. According to the police report, he said there was no damage to his car because his doors were unlocked.
Lastly, a 53-year-old man called police just to inform them that the compartments of his vehicles had been searched some time between 9 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. He reported nothing stolen.
So far there have been no suspects listed in the police reports, but they are all still active in investigation.
