Five Teens Hurt in Snellville Shooting

None of the injuries were life-threatening; police feel there may be gang or drug connection.

Five teenagers were injured by gunfire while attending a party Saturday night in Snellville, according to Gwinnett Police.

Police report the shootings happened around 11 p.m. Saturday at 4384 Loch Ness Lane in unincorporated Snellville. Four of the teens — ages 15-17 — were shot and one was grazed by shrapnel, police say.

No arrests have been made.

All were treated and released at Gwinnett Medical Center. None of their injuries were considered life-threatening.

Police say the incident may have a connection to gang and/or drug activity. However, no connections have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing.

In a media release, police say someone shot into the residence, where 50 to 60 people were at a party.

Police say witness descriptions of a suspect varied drastically — the most consistent description was of a light-skinned black male between the ages of 18 and 25.
