GCPD Believe Rash of Local Burglaries Are Linked

Five burglaries in the Lawrenceville, Loganville and Snellville areas appear to be linked. Police are asking for help in identifying suspects.

The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking the public for information regarding a series of burglaries that they believe may be connected.

According to GCPD spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith, five burglaries have happened in a relatively small area and all have similar suspects and vehicle descriptions. Three of the burglaries happened in the Lawrenceville area, one in the Loganville area and one in Snellville. Incident #1: Chandler Bluff s/d

2163 Leafmore Ct, Lawrenceville

Case #11-108227

On November 7, 2011 at approximately 1500 hours officers responded to a burglary alarm call. Upon arrival it was discovered that the front door jam and deadbolt were damaged. The residence appeared to have been ransacked.

Incident #2: Hunters Ridge s/d

1443 Dodger Way, Lawrenceville

Case #11-108235

Suspect #1: black male, dark complexion, brown eyes, late 20s

140-150 lbs., 5’04” hgt, forest green coat with hoodie

Black baseball cap, blue jeans

Suspect #2: black male, large build

Suspect #3: black male

On Nov. 7, 2011 at approximately 1355 hours officers responded to a burglary just occurred call. The victim stated she was in her bedroom and heard the doorbell ring. When the victim reached her living room the front door was kicked in. The victim stated a black male was in the living but fled when he saw her. The suspect had a thin metal object in his left hand. The male ran to an older model maroon Jeep Cherokee. There were two other black males sitting in the vehicle. No tag number was obtained.

Incident #3: 3974 Maple Tree Ln

Snellville

Case #11-108182

Suspect #1: black males, possibly blue shirt

Suspect #2: driver of vehicle, grey hood over head

On Nov. 7, 2011 at approximately 1130 hours officers responded a burglary call. A witness advised two black males backed a red Jeep Cherokee into the victim’s driveway. The suspects were seen twenty minutes later carrying items from the house in a white laundry basket. It was discovered that the front door was forced open.

Incident #4: Melrose Subdivision

1008 Melrose View Ct, Lawrenceville

Case# 11-109785

Suspects: 4 males

On Nov. 11, 2011 at approximately 1430 hours a witness advised a burgundy Bronco pull up to victim’s house. One occupant got out of the vehicle and walked to the front door. The other three occupants got out of vehicle and walked behind the residence. The witness advised the males left with a flat screen television.

Incident #5: Wildgate @ Meadow Gate

3430 Sweet Basil Ln, Loganville

Case# 11-109802

On Nov. 11, 2011 at approximately 1430 hours unknown person(s) kicked in the victim’s back door. A witness advised he saw four black males. The vehicle was described as a late 90s model SUV (poss. Explorer or GMC Jimmy with faded black paint) last seen at the pool parking lot.
