Medical Center Fire Ruled Arson

Gwinnett County investigators believe a Friday morning fire at the in Lilburn was an arson.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, but firefighters found a broken window with fire damage to the interior of the the office building at 3945 Lawrenceville Highway, according to a press release from Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services.

Firefighters first arrived to the medical facility about 9 a.m. on July 20. A 911 caller stated that a lot of smoke was in the office, but that the flames were out.

Later, surveillance footage showed that the damage happened during the early hours of the morning. Still, arson investigators are trying to piece together exactly what happened and who is responsible.
