Get Rid of Old and Unneeded Prescription Pills in Lilburn's Take-Back Week

Drop off your old or unneeded prescription pills at the Lilburn Police Department this week and they'll be disposed of safely.

You'll never take another dose of that pain medication that caused a reaction, or your doctor changed your cholesterol meds right after you got a refill. So, what do you do with those unused or out-of-date prescription pills in your medicine cabinet?

Flushing them down the toilet or putting them in the trash means the chemicals will end up eventually in the ground water and our lakes and streams.

This week, the Lilburn Police Department is offering to take these medicines and dispose of them properly. Just drop them off between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. any day this week through Friday, Nov. 18, at the police department.
