Gunshots Heard As Police Arrived in Apparent Murder-Suicide

Gunshots were heard when police arrived at the house.

Gwinnett Police investigators are treating Saturday night shooting deaths of a man and woman as a murder-suicide.

Police spokesman Sgt. Troy Tobler said officers responded to a domestic call around 9 p.m. Saturday, April 26, on Mossy Creek Drive in unincorporated south Gwinnett County. Officers were told the man and woman were arguing and there was concern for the safety of the woman.

“Just as officers arrived on-scene, gunshots were heard coming from within the residence and tactical measures were taken by the officers, including activation of the SWAT team,” Tobler said in a media release sent Sunday morning.

Both were found dead in the house. They have not been identified, pending notification of next-of-kin.
