A man has died from an early morning shooting at a Gwinnett County motel in what police said could be gang-related.
Paris Brown, 23, died at the hospital around 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, from injuries sustained in a 2 a.m. shooting at the Quality Inn on Venture Parkway in unincorporated Duluth.
Brown had been taken to the hospital by the person who called 911.
Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said in a news release that there had been a party at the motel room before the shooting.
Smith said many of the witnesses at the scene were “generally uncooperative” with police.
“The only description of the suspects obtained so far is one masked man and one without a mask,” Smith said in the release. “No suspect vehicle was seen by the witnesses. Detectives are investigating the possibility of gang involvement.”
The case is open and under investigation. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call GCPD Homicide Unit detectives at 770-513-5300.
