Gwinnett Police Seek Public's Help in Identifying Suspect in Hit and Run

Gwinnett County Police are looking for information on a 1999 to 2002 Saab 93 passenger car with a damaged left front headlight assembly.

n an update to the hit and run in , Gwinnett County police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

According to a press release, investigators from the Accident Investigation Unit discovered that the headlight lens recovered at the scene belonged to a 1999 to 2002 Saab 93 passenger car. The vehicle should be a convertible or hatchback – either a 2 or 4-door.

“The suspect's vehicle will have damage to the front left (driver’s side) headlight assembly and a left side driver door or drivers side rear window will be shattered,” the press release reads. “Anyone with information on the vehicle and or driver is urged to contact the Gwinnett County Police Accident Investigation Unit Hotline at 678-442-5653.”

Edward T. Harley, 61, of Buford, died after being struck by the vehicle while walking on Buford drive between Satellite Boulevard and South Lee Street Thursday morning. The driver didn’t stop and was last seen turning right onto South Lee Street.
