Hanarry West Hit With Entering Autos

Inside the Police Reports: Four entering autos were reported on the same night earlier this month.

After Gwinnett officers received a suspicious persons call in the Hanarry West subdivision, four entering autos were reported the same night in the area.

According to the police reports, three entering autos were reported Jan. 12 on the 4700 block of Dana Terrace and one incident was reported on the 4700 block of Marc Court, both off Emily Drive.

Around 3 a.m., Gwinnett County Police were dispatched to the neighborhood in reference to two suspicious persons. The officer saw two teenagers walking who matched the complainant's description, and they started running away from the officer when they saw him.

A perimeter was set up with K9 units and additional officers, but they lost track of the teens, says the report.

Shortly after officers closed the suspicious persons call, officers started receiving calls of entering automobiles.

In the four incidents, a checkbook, $2 in change and an insurance card were reported stolen. Two of the cars in one victim's driveway had been entered an rummaged through, but nothing was taken, says the report.

All car owners admitted that they had left the doors unlocked.

A Lilburn Police officer who was on scene informed the Gwinnett officer how there have been a lot of entering autos in the area recently.

On Jan. 6, there was a suspicious call/domestic dispute on the 200 block of King David Drive. Two of the males involved matched the descriptions of the teenagers. The males were both nervous when speaking to Lilburn police, the report notes, and Lilburn Police gave the teens' information to Gwinnett.
