Holiday Office Closings, Trash Collections

Gwinnett and Lilburn offices will be closed, some trash collections changes made for July 4.

Most city and county offices will be closed Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. All will re-open on Tuesday, July 5.

Gwinnett County says offices needed for the “comfort and safety” of citizens will be open on Monday. All of the City of Lilburn administrative offices will be closed on the holiday.

Trash service will not be interrupted in unincorporated Lilburn, according to the county, but the Gwinnett County Solid Waster and Recycling Call Center will be closed Monday.

In the Lilburn city limits, Advanced Disposal will run its trash collection a day later this week — Monday pickups will be on Tuesday, ending with Friday, July 8, pickups on Saturday, July 9. Collection service will return to normal on Monday, July 11. Commercial collection will not be affected.

Also closed Monday will be Gwinnett County libraries, including local branches at Lilburn and Mountain Park.
