Inside Police Reports: Bulova Watches the Target of Burglars

Video showed two men broke through a window then fled with the goods.

The is investigating a recent jewelry store burglary, during which four Bulova watches were taken.

According to a police report, someone broke through the front window of the on Pleasant Hill Road during the overnight hours on May 13. No other items were reported stolen at the time. A large rock and pieces of a tree limb were found on the floor inside the window.

The four silver men’s watches were valued at $1,400.

Surveillance video showed two men — one dressed in all black, the other in a short-sleeve orange T-shirt — in front of the store. One man threw a block or brick through the window and both men entered the building. Both left through the same window and fled on foot toward Lawrenceville Highway.

Later, the investigating officer found footprints leading to a trail between the shopping area and apartments nearby.

Police have been checking into video from other businesses nearby. The investigation is ongoing.
