Inside Police Reports: Do You Think She'll Come Back?

A shoplifting story ... with a twist ...

On June 26, Lilburn PD was dispatched to WalMart for yet another - you guessed it - shoplifting scenario. There were at least 4 that day.

While most involve small thefts, this one had a more substantial value at more than $600. A woman was observed by security "acting suspicious in the Home and Living Department."

She had a full cart and was observed putting a potato masher, serving tongs and a pizza cutter in her purse.

She was stopped as she exited the store without paying for either the things in her cart or in her purse. She admitted stealing all the times to security when stopped. The cart included items ranging from NDS Video Games, Shampoo & Deodorant, bathroom gear, and kitchen utensils; merchandise totalling $617.34.

The woman told LPD that she didn't have any money and she "sometimes makes bad decisions." She admitted to stealing the merchandise and as she was being arrested, kept repeating that she would "never go back to Wal-Mart again if [the officer] did not arrest her".
