Lilburn Man Arrested for 13 Criminal Charges

Inside the Police Reports: A wanted Lilburn man was arrested on 13 different criminal counts, ranging from drug-related charges to vehicle theft.

A wanted Lilburn man was arrested earlier this month on 13 different criminal counts, ranging from drug-related charges to vehicle theft. His home was searched and similar charges were also brought against his two roommates.

On Oct. 8 around 8:41 a.m., Gwinnett County police found the man, 26, at a residence on the 4800 block of Vivian Lane in Lilburn after officers recognized the Acura he's known to drive.

According to the police report, the man had been wanted for two outstanding warrants: one for theft by receiving a motor vehicle and one for possession of a motor vehicle with a removed/altered VIN plate.

While police arrested the 26-year-old, they noticed the odor of marijuana throughout the home. After receiving a search warrant a few hours later, officers searched his bedroom (which he shared with a woman, 48), his car and the bedroom of his roommate, a 27-year-old man.

In both rooms, police found hydrocodone and bags of marijuana and methamphetamine, in addition to a number of lighters, scales, grinders, pipes and small empty baggies, all items commonly used in illegal contraband.

In the bedroom shared by the main suspect and the woman, officers found 342 Sudafed pills, which is the main ingredient in manufacturing meth. The woman claimed the pills were hers.

A safe on the 26-year-old's side of the room was opened, and it contained a prescription pill bottle with quetiapine, amitriptyline hydrochloride and carbamazepine, says the police report.

Lighters, spoons, needles and a Butane torch were also discovered in the room.

The man's Acura was also searched. In addition to drugs and drug-related items, an expandable baton was also found, similar to a police officer's baton.

The roommate's room had a large number of loaded and chambered firearms and a Second Chance level II ballistic vest, similar to what the police force use. Officers opened a Sentry safe, which contained ammunition, more guns, and more drugs and drug-related items, including a hydrocodone pill. The police report says he believes one of the two people there may have planted the meth in his dresser.

The home was photographed and the woman and the main suspect were arrested. The police report says the wanted man was arrested for two outstanding and confirmed warrants, in addition to the possession/manufacturing of Schedule II narcotics (hydrocodone), three counts of dangerous drug possession and two counts of less than 1 oz. of marijuana possession.

According to GwinnettMugs.com, he was also arrested for possessing a weapon during a crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, driving an unsafe vehicle, no insurance and materials on windshield/light.

The woman was arrested for possession/manufacturing of schedule II drugs and possessing more than 300 pills containing pseudoephedrine, says the report.

Charges were brought against the 27-year-old roommate for possession/manufacturing of Schedule II drugs (meth), of Schedule II narcotics (hydrocodone) and two counts of marijuana possession (less than 1 oz.). He has not been arrested.
