The City of Lilburn Police Department  will host a free “Senior Scam” seminar in Lilburn at City Hall on Tuesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. to give seniors the tools to protect themselves from fraud.

A panel consisting of Chief Bruce Hedley, Captains Ben Haynes and Mike Johnson, and Senior Investigator Kim Banks will discuss a variety of frauds that specifically target the aging population in the community.

“Unfortunately, there are some in our communities who are taking advantage of our senior citizens,” said Chief Hedley. “I hope we will give seniors in our community the tools and know-how to keep themselves from being victimized and protect the savings they have worked a lifetime for.”

Seniors from Lilburn are encouraged to attend Tuesday’s seminar, which is free of charge.
