Man Claims Girlfriend Stabbed Him
Inside the Police Reports: A woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend with a kitchen knife.
A woman was arrested last month for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend with a kitchen knife.
According to the police report, the incident occurred Nov. 29 around 10:30 p.m.
in the African-American couple's home in Lilburn.
The boyfriend, 48, told Lilburn Police that they had been arguing about his drinking habits. The girlfriend, 54, claimed that he was drinking too much and spending too much money on alcohol.

During the argument, he said, she grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the left side of his chest area. Police observed a small wound, and a medical unit arrived, but the boyfriend refused to be treated.
The girlfriend told police a completely different story. She claimed that she had not been arguing with him at all, but he had been drinking most of the day. She said his chest wound was actually self-inflicted, although she didn't actually see him pick up a knife.

After further investigation, the girlfriend was arrested and placed in Gwinnett County Jail that evening for aggravated assault. Three kitchen knives were photographed and placed into evidence.
