Man Accused of Setting Fire to Teen

Man, 61, accused of setting fire a teen during a sexual encounter.

The Norcross Police Department arrested a man early this morning who was wanted in Woodstock for charges of aggravated battery, cruelty to children 1st degree, false imprisonment and solicitation of sodomy. 

Joseph Raymond Zeock, 61, was taken into custody about 1:30 a.m. at the Allround Suites at 3175 Medlock Bridge Road in Norcross. He is the man accused of setting a teenager on fire during an alleged sexual encounter at a Woodstock motel. 

According to news reports, Zeock promised a 17-year-old money for sexual acts, then bound and gagged him and set him on fire.

Norcross Police said that they learned that Zeock might be staying at the extended-stay hotel from the Woodstock Police. 

Responding officers confirmed the information, then arrested Zeock, according to Capt. Brain Harr of the Norcross Police Department.

He is being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center, according to records, and will be moved to a Cherokee County facility.
