Pet Dog Dies in Lilburn House Fire

The fire caused "extensive" damage to a home Saturday night.

A fire that broke out in a home on Kenion Forest Way Saturday evening caused "extensive damage" to the house, Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services spokesman Eric Eberly said.

The three occupants were not injured, but a pet dog died in the fire, Eberly said in an email.

Heavy flames were coming from the garage by the time firefighters arrived on the scene around 10 p.m. Four engines responded, and the blaze was quickly under control.
