Police Look for Walgreens Robber

Peachtree Corners store robbed at gunpoint on April 28, police searching for suspect.

Gwinnett Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Walgreens store located in that took place on Thursday, April 28, in unicorporated Norcross.

The store, located at 5985 Peachtree Parkway, was held up by a man who showed the cashier a gun then grabbed money out of the cash register and fled.

The Gwinnett Police Robbery Unit is looking for help in locating the robber. Police said the suspect is a black male in his 20s approximately 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-3 and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds.

Police said the suspect entered the story at about 3:15 p.m., approached the cashier to pay for a soda and cigars. He handed the cashier cash and when the cashier opened the drawer, he flashed a black gun then reached in and took an undisclosed amount of money from the drawer.

He then left the store where it is presumed that he got into a vehicle and fled the scene.

At the time of the robbery he was wearing a red baseball cap, a gray-blue hooded sweatshirt and dark blue jeans.
