Police Need Help Identifying Man Struck, Killed in Lilburn

Lilburn Police Department is trying to identify a pedestrian who was struck and killed April 7 on Pleasant Hill Road.

UPDATE 4 p.m., April 8: The man has been identified as a Lawrenceville resident.

The Lilburn Police Department needs the community's help in identifying a man who was struck and killed while crossing the road on April 7.

Police say a vehicle traveling northbound on Pleasant Hill Road hit the man, as he was crossing at a dimly lit section about 8:45 p.m. on Sunday.

An initial investigation determined that speed was not a factor, and no charges are pending against the driver, according to a police department press release.

The unidentified man was transported to the Eastside Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, Lilburn police said. 

Police describe the man as Hispanic, about 25 to 35 years old, with short black hair and facial stubble. He was wearing brown Nunn Bush brand shoes , size 9.5; a black long-sleeve shirt; black Levi's jeans, size 33 waist; and a brown Dickies belt.

The man had a receipt in his pocket from a Duluth Walmart, where police recovered a surveillance video of who they suspect is the deceased person's description. (See attached photos.)

In the video, the man is seen parking a red truck with a silver tool box in the bed.
