Police Searching for Purse Snatcher

The robbery happened at the Bethesda Walk shopping plaza in Lawrenceville.

are asking for your help in identifying a suspect who reportedly snatched a purse from a woman.

On April 17 at around 10:15 p.m., the female victim was closing up the Western Union at the at 3059 Lawrenceville Hwy. Police say as the woman was leaving and locking the door, a gray Chevy Impala pulled up near her. A man got out of the car, snatched the purse from the woman's hands, and sped off in the Impala.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 30s, about six feet tall and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He was driving a 2006-2012 gray Chevrolet Impala. The left brake light was out and it appeared there was a Peach Pass affixed to the car's windshield.
