Report: $18,000 Stolen from Shell Station

Police are investigating a July 9 robbery at a in Lilburn, where the owner said an $18,000 bank deposit was stolen out of his hands.

The owner said he was walking to his vehicle about 10:35 a.m., when an unidentified male approached him in the parking lot of the and said "give me the bag." According to a police incident report, the owner said the suspect kept his left hand in his pocket "as if he had a weapon."

The owner said he tossed the bag on the ground, that the suspect then swooped it up, and belted for the nearby bushes, the report stated.

The police report stated that the unidentified male entered a waiting black vehicle, possibly drive by a woman, and that the vehicle then took a left onto Rockbridge Road and headed toward the city of Lilburn.

The owner told police that he believes he saw the male robbery suspect walking near the business just days earlier, and that the man "had been watching him before the robbery occured."

Surveillance cameras were able to capture an image of the man, police said in the report.

The black passenger car is described as having the new Georgia license plates, and possible tag numbers "PBH6406" or "PHB6006."

The initial suspect is reported as being a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, slim, weighing approximately 150-160 pounds. He was wearing all black and a baseball cap. 

At the time of the incident report, no arrests were made. It is unknown if an arrest or arrests have been made since then.
