Suspect at Large in Norcross Area Homicide Case

Gwinnett Police believe a man was stabbed to death in a domestic dispute.

A 25-year-old was allegedly stabbed to death at an apartment complex in unincorporated Norcross. Police believe that the homicide was the result of a domestic despite between the man and a 37-year-old, who is still at large.

Gwinnett Police responded to a call at the Legacy Commons apartment complex at 6259 S. Norcross-Tucker Road at about 11:45 p.m. yesterday, finding a man with multiple stab wounds who was later identified as Gerald Puga-Puga of Norcross. Puga later died as a result of his injuries, according to a Gwinnett County Police release.

Homicide investigators believe that Puga was visiting his girlfriend, the former spouse of Juan Valencia-Doroteo, who she also has five children with. Valencia-Doroteo allegedly forced his way into the apartment and confronted Puga.
