SWAT Standoff in Suwanee, Firefighters Held Hostage

A Gwinnett Police SWAT team is on the scene of a standoff in unincorporated Suwanee on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a news release, a gunman is holding five Gwinnett firefighters hostage. Firefighters apparently had responded to the residence on Walnut Grove Way for some type of medical call.

The area is near Collins Hill Road and Taylor Road, near Collins Hill High and Walnut Grove Elementary.
