Two in 'Filthy' Lilburn Home Charged With Cruelty to Children

A couple was charged after two children were removed from a "filthy and flea-ridden" Lilburn house.

Lilburn police arrested a man and woman, charging them with cruelty to children because of the filthy condition of the house where they lived with the woman's two children, wsbtv.com reported. Two children were removed from the house.

There was broken glass and spoiled and rotten food on the floors, Lilburn Police Capt. Ben Haynes said. The septic tank was full and backing up into the house, and there was no running water. The house was "filthy and flea-ridden," according to the report.

The landlord of the house on Wynne Russell Drive reported the couple to the police on Saturday, saying he was concerned for the children and fed up with the conditions he saw.
