Woman Claims Identity Stolen, Arrested for Crimes She Didn't Commit
Inside the Police Reports: A 25-year-old claims her identity was stolen a year ago, and now someone was using her name when committing crimes.
A Lilburn woman is claiming someone must have stolen her identity since she was arrested earlier this month for crimes she didn't commit.
The 25-year-old told Lilburn police that she was pulled over the week of Sept. 5 and arrested for outstanding warrants on her record.
According to the report, she said she did not commit the crimes and believes someone stole her identity a year ago. At that time, her purse had been stolen when she got involved in an altercation at Barnacles, a restaurant in Duluth.
She said she has no idea who stole her purse because she was distracted with the altercation.
