Woman Falls to Her Death at Stone Mountain Park

A man called 911 at 2:44 a.m. to report that his girlfriend had fallen from the fifth floor of the Evergreen Marriott, ajc.com reported.

A woman died after apparently falling from a balcony at Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort in Stone Mountain, according to ajc.com.

A man called 911 about 2:44 a.m. to report that his friend had fallen from a balcony on the fifth floor, park Police Chief Chuck Kelley told the AJC.

Police found a woman in the pine straw beneath a balcony. She was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where she died, ajc.com said.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations has been asked to help with the investigation, Kelley told the AJC.

Chief Kelley was not immediately available to confirm the report.
