Woman Killed in Norcross Shooting, Possible Gang Ties
The incident, which happened off Phil Niekro Parkway early Sunday, is believed to have escalated after an altercation at Liquid Ultra Lounge in Peachtree Corners.
A woman was shot and killed in unincorporated Norcross early Sunday in what police believe was an incident related to criminal street gang activity.
The woman, identified as 21-year-old Malia Arianne Ross Robinson, was shot at 4161 Phil Niekro Parkway off Beaver Ruin Road around 4:15 a.m. Dec. 9. She was transported to a local hospital where she died from her injuries, according to a news release from Gwinnett County Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith.
"At this time, it appears that only Ross was struck," the release stated.

Detectives believe that Ross was a part of a group that was involved in an altercation with a second group at Liquid Ultra Lounge, a nightclub off Holcomb Bridge Road in Peachtree Corners. The altercation ended, but it started up again at a nearby gas station.
The fight dispersed a second time, and Ross' group traveled to Phil Niekro Parkway. The other group showed up, too, and the altercation was renewed again. An unknown member of one of the groups produced a gun and fired multiple shots, where Ross was hit.
