Bryson Park Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, Grand Opening Event in October

Gwinnett County parks officials say the long-awaited grand opening will be October 27.

After many months of delays, the grand opening for the new Bryson Park is now planned for Oct. 27.

This latest development is according to Nazanin Weck, who handles marketing for Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation.

The grand opening will be 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 27. Earlier in the week, at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, there also will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The facility is located at 5075 Lawrenceville Highway in Lilburn. And, at first, it was expected to be completed in March, but construction hit a number of delays.

It is a long-awaited addition to the parks available in Gwinnett County, specifically in the Lilburn area.
