“It is our goal to not only meet the operating needs of the city, but to enhance the city’s long-term economic growth and quality of life for our citizens, business owners and visitors,” Finance Director Sheila McGaughey said.

According to the news release, the proposed FY2013-2014 budget for all appropriated funds totals $9,780,673. Of this total, $6,193,673 is for operations; $171,000 is for the City’s Capital Projects Fund, and $3,416,000 is for the City’s Special purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) Fund Issue 2009.
