City Seeks Event Coordinator

The city of Lilburn is looking for a part-time event coordinator.

The city of Lilburn is looking to hire a part-time events coordinator, and applications will be accepted until Jan. 25.

The job pays $14 an hour, and the candidate can expect to work about 20 hours a week.

This position will be responsible for organizing and coordinating special events sponsored by the city or serving as a committee member for co-sponsored events.

In addition, the events coordinator will serves as a liaison between vendors, the public, other co-sponsoring organizations, and department management before and during events. In addition, the coordinator must ensure that events are completed within budget.

When needed, the coordinator will also secure donations to support events.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications include, but are not limited to, having a high school diploma or GED with minimum two years’ experience in event planning and coordination.

Must have previous experience, including operational management, in the events or hospitality industry. Knowledge of the special events industry in the Atlanta area is desired.
